MELP is building a module for the employee side of Lithuania's new pay transparency rules. Share your pay and benefit rules, answer employee requests on time and keep a dated record of everything you sent.
Module status
Developed in cooperation with Eligijus Kajieta.
Publish your pay system and benefit rules in the MELP app. Every version is kept with its date.
See who has opened each version and remind those who have not.
Share a draft with employee representatives or the whole team before you approve or change the pay system, and keep the comments together.
Lithuanian employers must tell every employee each year about their right to pay information. MELP sends this reminder in each employee's own language, including to employees without a company email, computer or phone.
Employees ask in the app. Each request gets a deadline timer and reply templates, so no answer is late.
Set benefit budgets by job group, so rewards in kind follow the same objective rules as pay.
Export benefits and job groups per employee for your payroll team, to help prepare the monthly SDUP report to Sodra.
Every notice, read receipt, request and reply is logged with a date, so you can show what you did if the State Labour Inspectorate asks.
The module does not calculate pay gaps, import payroll or give legal advice.
In Lithuania, Sodra calculates the pay gap indicators from the data your payroll reports each month. Building or reviewing your pay system and job groups is work for an expert.
Who does what
Companies with staff in Lithuania can talk to our partner Amber Axis about their pay system.
It is being built now, starting with Lithuania. Join early access and we will tell you when it can be ready for your organisation.
Sodra calculates the averages and pay gap indicators and sends them to you. Registering each request, answering within one month and delivering the answer without revealing a colleague's pay stays with you. The module covers that part; it does not calculate pay gaps itself.
Not yet. Latvia's pay transparency law is still a draft, and Estonia's new rules mainly cover pay information for job candidates and pay secrecy. We will adapt the module as local rules take shape.
No. The module handles communication and records. Your pay system, job groups and any pay differences need an expert. Companies with staff in Lithuania can talk to our partner Amber Axis.
