Update on MELP | January 2026

Update on MELP | January 2026

We’ve shipped a strong set of improvements across the MELP platform, focused on giving HR teams more control, reducing friction for employees, and polishing key moments in the mobile experience.

Highlights

Smarter budget usage for shop purchases

HR admins can now define allocation priority for budgets in Benefits and Recognition. This controls which budget is used first when employees make purchases. Higher‑priority budgets are consumed first; if priorities match, the budget expiring sooner is used. This gives teams much better control over budget utilization and reduces wasted balances.

Expense resolution refactor

We’ve completed a significant refactor of the expense resolution flow. This improves reliability, maintainability, and overall user experience when handling expenses, laying a solid foundation for future enhancements in this critical area.

UX audit improvements (v10.6.0 & v10.8.0)

Following a recent UX audit, we’ve started rolling out fixes and refinements. Already released improvements include:

  • Clearer navigation and close behavior
  • More descriptive authentication error messages
  • Increased SMS code resend frequency with abuse prevention
  • Autofocus on input fields during login
  • More flexible country code search
  • Placeholder text in GIF search
  • Empty states in comments
  • Improved no‑internet handling

This is an ongoing effort, and more audit findings will be addressed in upcoming releases.

Admin & HR Tools

Export employees by benefit to Excel

Admins can now export employees by benefit directly to Excel, making reporting, audits, and offline analysis much easier.

Archive benefits

Benefits can now be archived, helping keep benefit lists clean and focused while preserving historical data.

Bulk edit internal merchandise orders

Managing internal merchandise just got faster. HR teams can now bulk update orders, changing status and adding comments for employees in a single action.

Send the transmission act via Email

Transmission acts can now be sent directly via email, streamlining documentation and communication workflows.

Employee & User Experience

Simplified re-signing

Returning users who were previously signed in now see a “Continue as” option on the sign‑in screen. This reduces confusion and minimizes steps when re‑authenticating.

Unlink app user from employee

Users can now be unlinked from an employee profile if they initially logged in via phone number and later want to switch to SSO. After unlinking, they can log in with SSO and continue seamlessly.

Tap tab to scroll to top

Tapping the currently active bottom tab now scrolls the screen back to the top, a small but meaningful usability improvement.

Improved no‑internet handling

We’ve significantly improved how the app behaves in unstable network conditions:

  • Fewer false “No internet” interruptions
  • Smoother recovery when the connection returns
  • More consistent behavior when switching networks or reopening the app

🎉 New Discounts Added

January was a big month for discounts: we added 44 new discounts to the MELP platform, expanding the range of everyday savings and experiences available to employees.

Some of the biggest and most recognizable new partners include Bilietai.lt, Bioklab, and Dormeo, covering everything from events and wellness to home and lifestyle products.

In addition, we welcomed a wide mix of regional and international brands across categories like entertainment, food, retail, health, travel, and family activities, including (among others):

These new discounts make MELP an even stronger everyday companion, helping employees save on both practical needs and memorable experiences.

What’s Next

These releases continue our focus on control for HR teams, smoother day‑to‑day workflows, and a more polished mobile experience for employees. We’ll keep sharing updates as more UX audit improvements and new features roll out. Stay tuned for the next MELP update.
